Howard Hopper

Howard Hopper is a fire protection engineer at UL. He coordinates UL’s code development activity and has served on numerous ICC and NFPA committees, including the International Fire Code Committee and the NFPA 101 Correlating Committee. He has been an active participant in several energy storage system initiatives, including Chairing the Fire Code Action Committee energy storage system working group that developed the 2018 IFC and IRC ESS requirements. He is also a member of the NFPA 855 ESS standard technical committee and chaired many NFPA 855 working groups.

William Weng(翁文俊) 經理於電池產業擁有超過15年的專業經驗，接續負責UL 能源系統和電動運輸的業務。他的職責包含領導大中華團隊在該市場提供服務並支援新業務之開發。此外，其亦擔任IECEE和TAF評估員，來協助ISO 17025的實驗室認證。其更支持台灣電池協會制定當地的行業標準並協助製造商進入全球市場。

William Weng has over 15 years of experience for battery industry then Energy Systems & e-Mobility business at UL. His role includes leading the Great China team to fulfill services for the segment and supporting to develop new business.

William serves as IECEE and TAF assessors to support certification program to meet ISO 17025. He also supports Taiwan Battery Association to develop local industry standard and assist manufacturers to access global market.
