In the last couple of years, Indonesia has realized the potential of Indonesian villages as centre of new industrialization. Many young professionals and technopreneurs have started to realize the potential of villages as source of innovation and economic growth.

ICT is one of the keys for Indonesian technopreneurs to open the door to the villages. Not only technopreneurs and young professionals who have started to develop the potential of villages, but also the Indonesian governments. At provincial, regency and district level, various efforts have been made to build a local tech-based industry. The awareness to establish village-based industry is also affected by the current affairs, the CoVid-19. For example, tourism area like Bali that had been strongly dependent on tourism sector, has now realized the urgency to lessen its dependency on tourism by developing village-based industry. However, the idea to build a tech-based industry need a lot of support, particularly in technology.
