臺美合作提升全球半導體供應鏈韌性座談會

Taiwan-U.S. Cooperation on  Global Semiconductor Supply Chain Resilience
 

　　臺灣半導體產業在臺灣建構起完整的半導體產業鏈，以IC設計、IC製造與IC封測等專業半導體代工模式，為全球所有客戶提供全球市場所需要的IC晶片。臺灣半導體製造技術已位居全球領先地位，吸引國際半導體供應鏈積極來臺設廠，就近供應臺灣半導體產業所需求之設備與材料。2021年臺灣半導體產業創造出新臺幣4.1兆元的總產值，位居全球第二名的地位。

      美國擁有龐大的電子產品市場規模。在電子產品朝向數位化與智慧化趨勢驅動下，2021年美國市場對於半導體晶片需求市場值達到1,215億美元。為排除國際經貿障礙與供應美國市場需求，美國正推動在地生產政策，積極在美建設新的半導體生產線。美國政府正邀請國際企業赴美佈局與在地生產。

　　經濟部國際貿易局（BOFT）與美國在台協會（AIT）為廣納產業意見，特委託工研院產科國際所（ISTI of ITRI）與中華經濟研究院WTO及RTA中心（Taiwan WTO & RTA Center of CIER）辦理此座談會，與國內外半導體產業鏈相關廠商（設計、製造、封測、設備、材料），共同針對提升全球半導體供應鏈韌性議題，共商臺美合作的機會策略。

　　

       Taiwan’s cutting edge technology attracts global semiconductor equipment and material suppliers. In 2021, Taiwan semiconductor industry total revenue was over 146 billion USD, ranking the 2nd globally.

　　The U.S. is one of the world’s biggest markets for electronic products. In 2021, American semiconductor demand reached 121.5 billion USD. To address the current global supply chain and fulfill the domestic demand, the U.S. seeks to build its domestic semiconductor production supply chain and encouraging FDI in the U.S.

　　With a view to exploring opportunities and ways of cooperation thus further contributing to the global semiconductor supply chain resilience, the Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) and AIT work together to organize this forum to draw inputs from the private sectors of the U.S. and Taiwan.
